The Jumper at kingston waterfront

At this moment, he is weightless, that second when everything is still. when your upward force is exactly equal to the effect that gravity has on your body. That second that everything and anything seems possible. Hope is weightless and bound by nothing. Believe in your actions, act on your truths follow your gut. Take your leap of...

Dwayne and Wendy’s Wedding in Kingston Jamaica

Mr and Mrs Dwayne and Wendy Lyons. The two were referred by a previous client for whom I also provided wedding photography services. The wedding day as almost all weddings was on a saturday as usual, the weather was great there was absolutely no problems on the horizon, take that Murphy’s law. There was some delay with the bride preparation but what wedding takes place without that hint of time crunch prior to the ceremony. The Preparation took place at the Jamaica Pegasus and my usual second shooter had just left the island on a cruise ship so I was shooting solo (couldn’t commit to a second shooter to replace him). There was a lot of back and forward as the bride and groom were on different floors however I got it all, not one pertinent piece of the preparation was missing :). Here are some Images from the wedding in kingston, Enjoy...

Engagement Photo Session at the kingston harbour with Lonnie And Daedrie-Ann

This is actually a throw back blog post that just never got published for some reason. Late December of 2012 I was approached by a couple who wanted an engagement photo session prior to their January wedding. They gave me complete creative control, I was able to choose the Location and time that I’d prefer for the session which I honestly some times prefer. I Scouted a few days earlier and decided I’d use the Kingston Waterfront as I’ve seen some amazing sunrises there. As long as they were on time for 6am, everything should be perfect. Assisting was a friend of mine Mario Smith, he doesn’t shoot but he’s an excellent voice activated light stand *Grin*. Groom was early the bride cut it slightly close but everything fell into place as it should and the shoot was under way. The lighting was kept fairly simple as i tend to do on location. 1 light a relatively large diffuser and a speed light Boomed overhead and angled to my taste, Separation light was provided by The sun and it yielded amazing results. Here are a few of the images. The Fun loving and playful nature of the couple came out in the photo’s they had no issues expressing themselves and it translated well in the...

on assignment: Dexter Huxtable – Spokes Aparrel

First off I’ld like to say this man makes damn good suits, if your getting married, if your name is Barney Stintson* or if you really just love wearing a custom fitted suit. stop by spokes apparel and speak with Mr Huxtable his suits are amazing, I’ve shot a wedding where the groomsmen were all wearing this threads n in part thats what made my images look so awesome (wardrobe). Ok now that i’ve finished that rant that you definitely didn’t need to red forgot to mention that I’ll speak about the assignment. This was for the Flair Magazine’s Main feature and was just to be some images of Dexter during his interview and a main shot for the cover. I could have easily just stuck that sb-28 on the d2h and bounce off the ceiling or wall behind me or kinda feathered but I brought a lightstand a shoot through umbrella and my Poverty wizards n in minutes I had better looking images than I would have ever gotten with on axis light. The cover image I was especially happy about, For this I had to re-arrange the store a bit to get space and the spot I was allowed to move stuff from was perfect as it had his store sign “spokes” on the wall, so i got a kinda environmental portrait of him sporting one of his jackets. quick portrait took like 5 minutes and everyone was happy here’s the image used for the front page hope you like it the image was published in the July 19, 2010 Issue of the Flair Magazine See you next...
