The assignment was a jewellery Fashion accessories photo shoot at Chain Reaction [ their stuff is pretty awesome, i’ll be visiting next week to go shopping ]. The model model was actually one of the co-owners daughters. She did pretty well. mostly I worked with a two light setup using the dish and the umbrella as modifiers. for my favorite shot though which i just came up with on a whim (did it more for me than for them to tell the truth), i used one light on the subject modified with the shoot through umbrella at 1/4 power at camera right and the second speedlight bare powered down to 16th power and used it to throw some light at an orange wall behind the subject for some separation color...

In Studio: Maternity Photoshoot

Hey readers I know you think I have deserted you but i totally haven’t I have about 4 on assignment posts in the draft que ready to publish the minute I have clearance to do so. you’ll have to hang on a bit for that. Today we’ll be going through my last assignment for TaylorGPhotography. A commissioned Maternity Photoshoot conducted at the studio. Obviously the subject was a Pregnant woman but you didn’t know her husband and daughter would be there did ya :p.Everything went well and on time. I had the area setup like an hour before anybody showed up. Posted a pic to my flickr stream. Image recipe: I put a sb28 behind the tummy of the mommy and pointed it directly at the seemless at full power. Aperture at f/10 shutter 250th and iso at 125. Black and white conversion in lightroom pull the contrast around to taste and you got your self a delicious silhouette. I’ld like to give a huge thanks to my stylist @vampnixen there’s a few more projects in the bag, You’ll be hearing from me. And the Client for being so co-operative and allowing us to create such wonderful...
