Jamaica vs Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier

Jamaica Vs Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier Football match held at the national stadium on tuesday september 10, 2013. The reggae boys was able to fight for a draw in the match ending Jamaica 1 – Costa Rica 1. Jermaine “Tuffy” Anderson scored the equalizer for Jamaica in the latter part of the second half of the game. In my opinion it was an unexpected draw, I was really surprised it wasn’t a complete defeat.

Apparently the word on the streets is Mathematically Jamaica still has a chance of qualifying for the World cup.. There is still hope however slim it may be. I’m not a huge football fan but it is intriguing to see the final outcome of Jamaica’s journey. Patiently waiting on the next match against Honduras which should ultimate decide the continuation or halt of the journey to the world cup for Jamaica.

On the technical side of things I worked the match with the D300s and the 70-200 2.8. I figured the extra reach on the crop sensor would be a good idea. The main issue was the not so great iso management on the D300s. Noise was definitely an issue :( I even felt as if bringing the D800 and shooting in 1.2 crop would have been a better idea. I’d have lost a bit of reach on the crop but the final resolution would be higher enabling a better crop as well as the added bonus of better noise handling and faster focusing.
